The Health & Safety Executive have issued a set of Management Standards to inform employers in the assessment of work-related stress. Work-related stress can lead to poor performance, sickness absence or loss of valued employees due to resignation or ill health retirement.

Early referral for occupational health assessment can support employers and employees in identifying issues and developing interventions to resolve work-related stress issues and promote improved employee health and performance.
