Pre-employment Health Assessment
Assessing the health of job applicants provides
health information to enable employers to:
Be assured that the applicants are fit and healthy
to undertake their proposed job in a safe and effective manner
Be aware of any medical disabilities that may
create a legal duty under the Disability Discrimination Act requiring
consideration of possible reasonable adjustments to enable applicants to work
effectively.
Commence health surveillance where job hazards
create a foreseeable risk to health
WellWork's Regional Service Centres and onsite
services can undertake pre-employment health assessments using a health questionnaire and
when indicated undertake clinical examinations by appointment.
